Chick-fil-A opens new restaurant in front of Old Hickory Mall
Owner/operator Grant Edwards opened a new 4,759-square-foot Chick-fil-A at 16 Tinker Hill Road in front of the Old Hickory Mall – southwest corner of North Highland Avenue and Tinker Hill Road, today.
“It’s been fun to get this location opened,” Grant said, “We’re open for curbside, dine-in and drive through, and our restaurant hours are 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Saturday.”
The restaurant was constructed on 1.42 acres and offers 52 parking spaces.
Grant also owns the Chick-fil-A at 3 Stonebridge Boulevard.
Chick-fil-A is also located inside Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.

New 250 unit apartment complex scheduled for Ashport Road & U.S. Highway 45 North
The Jackson Municipal Regional Planning Commission has recommended approval of an apartment complex consisting of approximately 250 units in the southwest quadrant corner of Ashport Road and U.S. Highway 45 North.
The developer has the ability to build three story buildings instead of 2.5 story buildings on approximately 13.68 acres.
Ashport Partners previously requested the property be annexed and rezoned, including 5.76 acres of commercial (property) along North Highland Avenue, a 10.98 apartment side, and the balance was zoned single-family residential.
An additional 2.7 acres west of and adjacent to the current apartment site rezoned to multi-family for the total of 13.68 acres.
The building, not the business – Wendy’s property – 873 Vann Drive – sells for $2.7 million +
Property that is home to a Wendy’s restaurant at 873 Vann Drive has been sold.
Cactus Development Partnership purchased the property from WRG Realty for $2,711,115.
The building was renovated and reopened for business in March 2019.
The sale of the property is the second since 2018.
Restaurant Holdings LLC sold 873 Vann Drive to WRG Realty LLC, for $2,232,143.
SOLO West Townhouses scheduled for Hollywood Drive
A request to construct a multi-family development – SOLO West Townhouses – at 1405 – 1421 Hollywood Drive – has been approved by the Jackson Planning Commission.
The property is scheduled to consist of 24 townhouses – four units in each of six buildings.
Lone Oak Holdings LLC sold the 0.95 acres to Superior Acquisitions, which is located next to Ruby’s Family Dining – Soul Food restaurant – 1431 Hollywood Drive.
