(October 31, 2013) Jackson, Tenn.- Jackson Transit Authority discussed a route expansion at their meeting on Thursday afternoon.
The board discussed providing route service to the Park Place Area which is located near the Jackson Generals Field.
The service will tie in with the existing Bemis and the Vocational Technology Center line. It will service the Technology Center at 7:30AM and 2:30PM. At the top of each hour, it will then move on to Bemis, and to the Park Place Area at the bottom of the hour.
The board approved going ahead with the addition of the stop. The bus will run near the Food Giant grocery store in the area. There are no plans to service the sports complex area.
The plans will be up for discussion at a date that hasn’t been finalized as of the writing of this article .
The plan is to have the route in service toward the beginning of 2014.
