The Jackson Energy Authority’s Board of Directors approved eight resolutions during their monthly meeting at The Tennergy Center, Thursday.
“The Jackson Energy Authority’s board met (Thursday) to discuss items of business which included updates to policies, equipment purchases and a boring agreement,” Monte Jones said, “All items were approved including a purchase agreement with Southwest Tennessee Electric Membership corporation for acquisition of some existing services by JEA.”
Monte Jones is chairman of the Board of Directors, Jackson Energy Authority.
Resolutions authorized or approved included –
A contract for the removal and installation of uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) for the bunker – Electric Power Systems, Inc. of Germantown submitted the low bid of $112,972.
A miscellaneous Electric, Gas, Water, Wastewater and Telecom directional boring contract with Jackson Boring & Trenching, LLC for the evaluiated amount of $571,750.
A purchase agreement with Southwest Tennessee Electric Membership Cooperative for a total payment of $70,551.23.
Revisions to the Jackson Energy Authority’s Policy and Procedure Manual for the Electric Division.
Revisions to the Jackson Energy Authority’s Policy and Procedure Manual for the Gas Division.
Revisions to the Jackson Energy Authority’s Policy and Procedure Manual for the Water and Wastewater Divisions.
Purchase of a replacement vehicle for the Wastewater Division. The vehicle will be purchased from Lonnie Cobb Ford, Henderson, TN, for $72,629. The vehicle is in stock and meets JEA specifications.
An amendment to the Jackson Energy Authority’s Public Records Policy.
