Activity at U.S. Highway 70 off Exit 87 is a new Mapco Express convenience store.

The 5,500-square-foot facility – 20 Johnson Creek Blvd. – is being constructed by Bosco LLC Contractor Services of Jackson.

Construction is expected to be completed by late summer.

With parking for 35 vehicles, Mapco will offer 14 fuel pumps for automobiles and four fuel pumps for trucks.

Mapco, which has its corporate offices in Brentwood, is building the store on 4.12 acres.
