The City of Jackson, TN – Police Department is proud to present the June Employee of the Month to Lt. Brien Turner.
Lt. Turner has been with JPD for twenty-seven years and is currently assigned as a Supervisor within the Administrative Division.
Lt. Turner currently serves as the Commander for the Law Enforcement Technologies and Central Records Divisions within the Jackson Police Department. His unwavering commitment to tackling the department’s internal information technology needs has made him an invaluable resource.
Countless hours spent addressing the challenges that arise with new technology reflect his dedication and resilience. Recently, he successfully built the “Advanced Scheduling” feature into the Tyler Munis-based payroll system, resolving early issues and paving the way for smoother operations.
With the recent federal mandate requiring the implementation of RSA two-factor authentication devices on all equipment interfacing with the National Crime Information Center, unforeseen challenges arose.
Yet, Lt. Turner’s diligent problem-solving skills have made a significant difference in issuing patrol units to officers amid these complexities. Always at the cutting edge of innovation, he oversees crucial technologies, including Fusus, Body-Worn Cameras, RSA, In-Car computers, In-Car cameras, and city-wide pole cameras, enhancing departmental operations.
Thanks for all you do Lt. Brien Turner!
