JACKSON, TN – LIFELINE Blood Services will host a birthday themed blood drive June 3rd through June 8th in honor of Graham Simpson.
Graham Simpson, son of Beth Ann and Adam Simpson, suffered from a rare condition called ITP or Immune thrombocytopenia. This led him to need platelet infusions when he was just two months old.
Graham will be celebrating his 7th birthday this June 8, and LIFELINE invites the public to come give the gift of life in honor of Graham throughout the week.
LIFELINE hopes this drive encourages others to give for patients like Graham. Every two seconds, someone in the U.S. needs blood or platelets. LIFELINE aims to meet those needs in West Tennessee.
Every donor 18+ will also have the opportunity to enter the 6th annual car giveaway sponsored by Joe Mahan Ford! All eligible donors will be entered to win the 2022 Ford Bronco Sport! Additionally, all donors will be entered to win 4 passes to Soaky Mountain Waterpark in Sevierville, Tennessee.

LIFELINE provides blood services to 21 West Tennessee counties, including 17 hospitals and 21 emergency helicopter service locations and 1 ground ambulance service.
Annually, the Center collects approximately 26,000 blood products (red cell units, platelets, plasma, etc.) to meet the needs of patients. Of that total, 75% of those products are usually collected on the bloodmobiles across West Tennessee.
