Humboldt City Schools investigating possible mistreatment of primary school student

A parent’s Facebook post about the possible mistreatment of their child at Stigall Primary School in Humboldt has led to an investigation by the Humboldt City Schools.

Humboldt City Schools issued the following press release regarding the situation.

“An investigation regarding a student attending Stigall Primary School is currently underway.

“Dr. Versie R. Hamlett, Director of Schools, received notification yesterday of this complaint.

“Dr. Hamlett explained, “Humboldt City Schools’ highest expectation is to create a safe environment for faculty, staff and students at all times.

“As a result, when allegations of this nature are made, we take prompt action to protect our
students and protect student records which are confidential.

“The facts surrounding this matter are in dispute.

“We are not making any comment in response to the Facebook post.”
