Members of the Jackson Beer Board approved requests for five beer permits when the committee met in the City Council chambers, Tuesday.

Consideration of a request were granted to –

Stephen Matthew Altobell, for a special occasion permit to sell, store and serve beer at an event that will be held October 12 on Liberty Street in Jackson, known as the Liberty Street Block Party.

Michelle James, on behalf of the Downtown Dogs Group, Inc., for a special occasion permit to sell, store and serve beer at an event that will be held October 15 at the West Tennessee Farmers’ Market, 91 New Market Street in Jackson, known as ‘Bone Appetit.’

Richard W. ‘Jerry’ Corley, for a special occasion permit to sell, store and serve beer at an event that will be held October 28, at the West Tennessee Farmers’ Market, 91 New Market Street in Jackson.

Maria Lourdes Morales, for a business known as La Bamba Market, 480 Wiley Parker Road, Suite 7-8, for selling, storing and distributing beer for consumption off the premises.

Morales was also granted a permit for La Bamba Market for selling, storing an serving beer on the premises where sold.

“The state allows a patron who comes into a store that has tables and chairs to open a beer, if the store owner has the proper permits,” Charles Rahm, Beer Board chairman said.

A consideration for a request from Adrian Antonio Sanders for a business known as Black Jack’s, 903 Hollywood Drive, for selling, storing and serving beer on the premises where sold was tabled until 8 a.m., Wednesday, October 11.
