The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department confirms Tennessee Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program participants will receive additional funding for fruits and vegetables during the months of June to September 2021.
Women and children who currently receive $11 and $9 respectively for fruit and vegetable purchases per month will receive $35 per month in June, July, August, and September.
The American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA) allows for the temporary change in benefits.
WIC participants will automatically see the change in benefits by logging into the Tennessee WICShopper app.
