Virginia Winchester, a West Tennessee Healthcare employee for over six years was named the organization’s employee of the month for December.
Virginia, who works as a Patient Care Tech on A7, received the award during the West Tennessee Healthcare’s Board of Trustees monthly meeting at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital, Friday.
Teresa Freeman, Chief Nursing Officer, Jackson-Madison County General Hospital, made the presentation.
According to Amy Garner, West Tennessee Healthcare’s Chief Compliance & Communications Officer, Virginia is a hard worker from the time she gets to the floor until the minute she leaves.
“She is an excellent example to all the staff of someone who works with the right attitude and is always willing to help,” Amy said, “She makes her patients feel heard and she is attentive to their needs.”
For her efforts, Virginia received plaque with her name and an inscription, a $50 Gift Card to a local restaurant, a reserved parking pass for the month of your recognition, a $15 Meal Gift Card from the hospital and a Gold Badge Holder.
Virginia also receives a day off with pay, a portrait and an invitation to a special recognition luncheon at the end of this year by the Employee of the Month Committee.
