With the 86-85 overtime victor over Georgia on 1/28/26 in Athens, Georgia, the Volunteers improved to 14-6 overall and 4-3 in conference play.  The win moves the Vols into a tie for 7th in the SEC and one game ahead of the Bulldogs.   The win also marks a career milestone for Coach Barnes, this win marks 850 career victories, ranking him 9th all-time among Division I men’s basketball coaches and ranking 1st or 2nd among active coaches (competing with John Calipari).  Coach Barnes is tied Jerry Slocum for 8th all-time in games coached.
