Tennessee redshirt sophomore wide receiver Dayton Sneed announced on April 11 his intention to enter the NCAA transfer portal.
The former Vol committed to North Carolina and first-year head coach Bill Belichick on Tuesday. He has three years of eligibility remaining.
Sneed appeared in seven games at Tennessee from 2023-24. The 6-foot, 196-pound wide receiver recorded two receptions for 19 yards.
Sneed went to Tennessee from Donelson Christian Academy in Nashville, Tennessee. His brother, Carson Sneed, is a 2026 commit to the Vols.
The 2026 tight end prospect committed to Tennessee on Aug. 5, 2024 over Ole Miss, Ohio State, Auburn and Louisville. Carson Sneed is ranked as the No. 258 overall prospect in the class of 2026.
He also ranks as the No. 13 tight end and No. 7 player in Tennessee, according to the 247Sports Composite.
The NCAA transfer portal spring football window will remain open through Friday.
