Highlights from the July 2026 Labor Force Estimates
- The Seasonally Adjusted Unemployment Rate for Tennessee dropped to 3.4% in July from 3.5% in June.
- The Seasonally Adjusted Unemployment Rate for the United States dropped to 4.1% in July from 4.2% in June.
- The unemployment rate decreased in 93 of 95 counties in July and was under 5% in 89 counties.
- Cheatham, Sevier, Williamson, and Dickson counties all had the lowest unemployment rate at 2.8% while Perry County had the highest rate at 5.8%.
