Highlights from the June 2026 Labor Force Estimates

• The Seasonally Adjusted Unemployment Rate for Tennessee dropped to 3.5% in June from 3.5% in May.
• The Seasonally Adjusted Unemployment Rate for the United States dropped to 4.2% in June from 4.3% in May.
• The unemployment rate was under 5% in 84 of 95 counties in June.
• Cheatham and Sevier counties had the lowest unemployment rate at 3.0%. Perry County had the highest unemployment rate at 6.0%.
