Lexington’s Ross Wilson Named Jackson State Community College Male ‘Athlete of the Week’

Lexington’s Ross Wilson has been named Jackson State Community College’s Male Athlete of the Week after completing 13 of 16 passes for 291 yards and accounting for eight total touchdowns in the Tigers’ 70-36 victory over Dyer County last week.

“First, I have to give glory to God. I have to thank the five up front for giving me the time to make good throws and for creating lanes when we had to run. The receivers made big-time catches, and we played great as a team. It means a lot to me and to this team to be recognized for our play.” Ross Wilson – Lexington High School

“It’s been great to watch Ross grow and develop this season. He’s been a great point guard, a facilitator of the ball, and a great manager of our offense. His legs have been a big part of the offense, and when he does well, we move the ball, stay ahead of the chains, and play well. I’m proud of his growth this season, and it was awesome to see him play like that.” Head Coach Derrick Carr – Lexington High School
