Highlights from the September 2024 Labor Force Estimates
- The Seasonally Adjusted Unemployment Rate for Tennessee increased to 3.2% from August’s 3.1%.
- During the same time period, the Seasonally Adjusted Unemployment Rate for the United States decreased to 4.1% from 4.2%
- The unemployment rate decreased in 5 counties, increased in 77 counties, and remained the same in 13 counties.
- Sevier County had the lowest unemployment rate at 2.7 percent. McNairy County had the highest unemployment rate at 5.5 percent.
