(October 29, 2013) Jackson TN – Jackson Downtown Development Corporation and First United Methodist Church are pleased to announce Lori Nunnery, Executive Director of the Convention & Visitors Bureau as the speaker for November’s First Friday Forum on November 1, 2013. Her presentation, “Tourism: What’s The Big Deal”, will focus on sharing the many things that there are to do in Jackson & West Tennessee as well as sharing the successes of our community in regards to tourism.
Lori Nunnery has almost 15 years in the tourism and hospitality fields serving in significant positions. She currently serves on Governor Haslam’s Tennessee Tourism Taskforce and is a member of the marketing sub-committee and facilitates the Rural Tourism Initiative. Additionally, Mrs. Nunnery is a Certified Tennessee Tourism Professional and Tourism Marketing Professional. She serves with many professional and community organizations including Tennessee Association of Convention & Visitors Bureaus Board of Directors, Tourism Association of Southwest Tennessee Board of Directors, Jackson Christmas Parade Committee, The Carnegie Museum of West Tennessee Board and much more. Nunnery is originally from Lancaster, Ohio and is a graduate of Murray State University. She has lived in Tennessee since 1999 and is married to Chad with two daughters.
