TEXARKANA, Ark. (AP) — Arkansas State Police have arrested a suspect wanted in a Tennessee slaying.
State Police spokesman Bill Sadler says 21-year-old Trevein Reed was found about 3:15 a.m. Monday by troopers, Texarkana police and Hempstead County deputies on a bus heading toward Texas. Sadler says the bus was stopped on Interstate 30 near Texarkana, Ark., by officers acting on information provided by U.S. marshals.
Sadler said it wasn't immediately known where Reed had gotten on the bus or what his intended destination was.
Reed is wanted in Dyersburg, Tenn., and is now being held pending extradition.
Sadler said he did not know if Reed had yet retained an attorney.
