
By Keith Sherley JACKSON Tenn – Special Agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation have obtained an arrest warrant for a Gibson County woman who is charged in connection with a stabbing incident in Trenton earlier this month.
At the request of 28th District Attorney General Garry Brown, TBI Special Agents, in a joint investigation with the Gibson County Sheriff’s Office, began investigating the attempted murder of Michael Hinton
According to authorities, on January 17th. around 8:40 p.m., Mr. Hinton called 911 to report he had been stabbed.
Police say based on the investigation Autumn White-Smith was developed as a suspect. Agents say after being interviewed by investigators, White-Smith admitted to being in Mr. Hinton’s home when he was stabbed and to discarding the knife used in the incident.
29-year-old Autumn White-Smith, was arrested and charged with Accessory After the Fact and Tampering with Evidence. She was booked into the Gibson County Jail where she is being held on a $75,000 bond.
