Leased by the Buchanan Realty Group, the facility will offer three units for office or retail.

Second hearing booth and hearing aid lab at West Tennessee Hearing & Speech Center
A ribbon cutting held at the West Tennessee Hearing & Speech Center, 65 Ridgecrest Road, celebrated the construction and installation of a second hearing booth and hearing aid lab, Wednesday.
“The ribbon cutting is the tangible result of fundraising though our annual Speaking of Art event held in April and a partnership with Portfolio Recovery Associates (PRA Group),” said Kimberli Moore, MS, CCC-SLP executive director at the Hearing & Speech Center. “We are a private non-profit that was established in 1953 with the mission to enrich the lives of all individuals in West Tennessee that are in need of hearing and speech services through diagnosis and treatment with quality care and respect by highly qualified professionals.”
Kimberli said the second hearing booth and hearing aid lab will allow the audiology department to perform up to 81 more hearing evaluations each month.
“This is an incredible addition for the Center and community,” Kimberli said. “On average, a person waits seven years before seeking treatment for hearing loss.
“One in six Americans experience hearing loss, and 80 percent do nothing about it. Untreated hearing loss has been linked to dementia and other cognitive disorders – and hearing impairment is more common in men.”
Kimberli added hearing loss is the third most prevalent age related disability following arthritis and hypertension suffered by adults age 75-and-older.
