Tina Dillingham promoted to assistant vice president, operations manager at Commercial Bank & Trust
Commercial Bank and Trust Company announces that Tina Dillingham has been promoted to Assistant Vice President, Operations Manager.
“I am excited for the opportunities we have here in Jackson to continue the growth of Commercial Bank and Trust,” said Ms. Dillingham. “In my new role, I look forward to strengthening my relationships with existing customers as well as bringing in new customers.”
Monte Jones, community president of Commercial Bank and Trust congratulated Tina on her promotion.

Commercial Bank and Trust was chartered in 1877. The bank has operations in Jackson – 3093 North Highland Avenue and 79 Stonebridge Boulevard – Memphis, Paris and Union City.

Additional Parking – 50 new spaces available in Thomsen Farms
The need for more parking in Thomsen Farms will be available for visitors to the Corner Boutique, Interiors Inc., Polished Salon and Tulum Fresh Mexican Grill at 1319 Union University Drive, Tuesday.
The new parking lot – constructed by FirstChoice Property & Development – will also assist those visiting CCSI – Computer Consulting Services, Conner Real Estate, Bliss Salon, Belle & Beau and employees at FedEx Trade Networks at 409 Walker Road.
Jersey Mike’s sub shop locating on Vann Drive
With more than 1,500 Jersey Mike’s subway sandwich locations open and under development, you can add 1081 Vann Drive in Jackson to the list.
The restaurant will be located between Wilk’s Dugout and Luxur Nails & Spa.
Company officials could not be reached for comment.
New hotel construction booming in Park Place East & West near Sportsplex
Three new hotels are under construction in Park Place East and West off Dr. F.E. Wright Drive.
La Quinta Inn is building a new 90-unit hotel in Park Place East across from Sky Zone on East Park Square.
A timeline for completion has not been announced.
When complete, a 40,000-square-foot Best Western Plus will offer 92 rooms in Park Place West, and SpringHill Suites – Marriott – is building a 92-unit, 45,000-square-foot hotel on 2.0 acres.
Both hotels are being built next to Affordable Dentures on Christmasville Cove, and are expected to open by Spring of 2019.
Red Light(s) in discussion for Vann Drive at Country Club Lane near U.S. Highway 412
It’s not if but when a red light – or red lights – are placed where Vann Drive comes into Country Club Lane near U.S. Highway 412.
“There have been some discussions about improving Vann Drive and looking at signalization at the intersection where Vann Drive comes into Country Club near Highway 412,” Stan Pilant, director of planning for the City of Jackson said. “It’s in its very early stages. Anytime you’re looking at signalization, you’re looking at the turning movements – if you need more turn lanes – and the volume of traffic.”
Pilant said the work will also depend on the development of the final phase of the Columns, which offers 106 acres west of Boot Barn.
Clarion Inn & Suites remodeling hotel at 541 Carriage House Drive
From the outside looking in, it looks as if the name of the hotel is the only noticeable change at 541 Carriage House Drive.
Clarion Inn & Suites made its move to Jackson when it purchased All Suites Hotel in January, and an extreme makeover is underway – two floors at a time.
A company spokesperson said the hotel remains open during the remodeling.
Clarion Inn & Suites will offer 127 rooms, conference rooms, an indoor pool and fitness center, a beauty shop (by appointment only), a restaurant and bar – after the remodeling is complete.
The exterior of the hotel is scheduled for a makeover in 2019.
FedEx Trade Networks grand opening held at Thomsen Farms location
FedEx Trade Networks, which connects 95 percent of the world’s gross domestic product (GDP) with its comprehensive suite of solutions, held its grand opening at 409 Walker Road in Thomsen Farms.
Recognized as the international freight forwarding arm of FedEx Corporation, FedEx Trade Networks has leased 4,686-square-feet from Ann-Marie Kelley, FirstChoice Property & Development.
The company’s network of worldwide locations and alliances enables it to help customers of all sizes build solutions to fit their shipping needs, specializing in e-commerce, air and ocean freight forwarding, customs brokerage and other trade facilitation services.
Working two shifts, there are 48 employees on site – a number expected to grow to about 80 people.
The site is NOT a drop-off location.
WesTN Bank opening in Thomsen Farms
West Tennessee Bank (WesTN Bank), a division of Decatur County Bank, is opening its first branch in Jackson at 1270 Union University Drive in Thomsen Farms.
Established in 1899, Decatur County Bank was the first bank in Decatur County.
West Tennessee Bank was established in 2010, and opened in a temporary office in the Honeye Plaza in Henderson before moving into its permanent location at 1007 U.S. Highway 45 North.
Company officials could not be reached for comment.
Located in the same center as Tennova Healthcare – Walk-In Clinic, WesTN Bank leased its office from Ann-Marie Kelley, FirstChoice Property & Development.
