Autry testified that Adams provided details when he told Autry that he, his brother Dylan Adams and Autry’s cousin Shayne Austin had raped Bobo. Dylan Adams also is charged in the case. Austin was found dead in an apparent suicide in Florida in February 2015.

Autry, whose nickname is “Train,” said he meet Adams and Austin at Austin’s trailer where he bought a morphine pill. He immediately cooked it down, mixed it with meth and injected it. He then said he walked to Adams’ truck. “He said ‘I need you to help me bury this body,’ Autry said he thought they had killed a man that owed money for drugs. ” Autry said Adams said to him, ‘Train, that’s Holly Bobo”.

Autry said he and Adams drove Adams’ truck to the Tennessee River He said they didn’t have the tools to dig a grave. Autry said they took Bobo’s body out of the truck at the river to gut her and drop her body in the deep water of the Tennessee River bend. But Autry heard Bobo make a sound and saw her foot moved, signs Bobo was still alive. Autry said Bobo could identify him and heard his name. He served as a lookout while Adams killed Bobo, Autry said.

Autry said Adams retrieved a pistol from the truck. Autry said he told Adams to wait. Autry then walked around the area to make sure no one was around. Autry told Adams the area was clear. He then heard a gunshot coming from the location where Adams and Bobo were.

“It sounded like, boom, boom, boom, underneath that bridge. It was just one shot but it echoed,”

Autry said. “Birds went everywhere, all up under that bridge. Then just dead silence for just a second.”

After killing Bobo Autry said he heard a boat engine. Afraid they had been seen or heard Autry and Adams loaded Bobo’s body back into the truck and drove away.

Autry testified that Zac Adams said they were with Clint Bobo the early morning of the abduction to show him how to cook meth when Holly came out of the home and started yelling at them. According to Autry, Adams said he took Holly away. Autry also said Zach knew Holly through her cousin Natalie Bobo and that Holly had been to Adam’s house.

During cross-examination from defense attorney Jennifer Thompson about his drug use, including how he injected it the day they went to the river. “That day I had just shot up a big load of drugs.

During direct examination, Autry testified the disposing of Bobo’s body in the river, gutting Bobo to kepp her from floating, fearing being identified by her, and then serving as look out were all his ideas.

Autry acknowledged failing to remember calls he placed the morning of the abuduction. Thompson asked if being high affects his memory, “Once that euphoria kicked in, you could say my track of time was altered,” Autry said.

Autry testified to prosecutor Jennifer Nichols during questioning that he was testifying because he wanted leniency.

Autry admitted to lying multiple times in interviews, letters, and phone calls when he said after he was charged that he did not know anything about Bobo.

The trial is expected to last into next week.
