Shoplifting Suspect Arrested; Additional Charges Pending Michelle Singleton a.k.a. Michelle Henley, has been arrested.
Investigators with Metro Narcotics performed a traffic stop Thursday afternoon on a car near the downtown area.
A passenger in the car fled on foot. That person was caught after a brief foot pursuit. She was identified as Michelle Singleton Henley. In addition to being wanted for the Shoplifting warrant, she was found to be in possession of narcotics. She was also charged with Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Schedule IV narcotics and Evading Arrest.
Additionally she provided Investigators with a fake identification card. She will also be charged with Criminal Impersonation. For the new charges, she was arraigned in Madison County General Sessions Court this morning and a $10,000 bond was set. She will have a bond hearing tomorrow morning for the Shoplifting charge in Jackson City Court.
Singleton/Henley was also wanted for Violation of Community Corrections and will be held until a hearing in Madison County Circuit Court, to be determined at a later date.
