Today, O.B. Lake, 62, of Jackson, was sentenced to ten years in prison with no parole in Madison County Circuit Court, Division II after pleading guilty to inappropriately touching a child.
In early August 2009, a woman and her 7-year-old daughter were visiting Lake, who was a family friend, at his home on Davidson Street in Jackson. The child became thirsty and Lake accompanied her inside to get something to drink. Lake then put his hand under the child’s dress and fondled her.
After a joint investigation between the Jackson Police Department and the Department of Children’s Services, Lake was arrested and charged with Aggravated Sexual Battery. Lake was placed on the Tennessee Sex Offender Registry for a Sexual Battery conviction in Madison County back in 1992.
