Second Man Charged In July 4 Shooting

JACKSON Tenn (July, 2015) — Jackson Police have charged a man they say is the alleged gunman in a July 4 shooting at a Jackson hotel

Police have charged Christian Love as one of two men involved in a drug deal gone bad.

According to police a man held at gunpoint in a room at Old Hickory Inn on the Highway 45 Bypass and then police say the victim was shot in the stomach by Love, according to an affidavit.

The victim told police he was buying marijuana from Love and another man, when he bent down to get money from his duffel bag thats when one of the suspects pointed a semi-automatic handgun at him.

According to police, a struggle took place, and the gunman shot the victim in the right hand and stole the cash.

The victim told police Love then turned as he was running from the room and shot him in the stomach.

Christian Love is charged with attempted first-degree murder, especially aggravated robbery and employing a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony.

He is being held in the Madison County Jail in lieu of a $150,000 bond.
