From the Jackson Police Department –

The Jackson Police Department has arrested and charged Tyler Boykin, age 20, with first-degree murder in connection with a homicide that occurred on May 14, 2024.

Police apprehended Boykin as he fled out of a home in East Jackson as they approached to arrest him.

Boykin is charged with the killing of Jerquavious Greer, which occurred on May 14th on Dr. F.E. Wright Drive and Roosevelt Parkway.

Greer was a passenger when the vehicle he was traveling in was struck by gunfire.
