Retailer approved for 24,515-square-foot facilty in Park Place West
The consideration of a preliminary site plan for O’Reilly Auto Parts, proposed to be located at 83 Chloe Place – Park Place West, near the corner of Ridgecrest Road and Dr. F.E. Wright Drive – was approved by the Jackson Municipal Regional Planning Commission during their monthly meeting at Jackson City Hall, Wednesday.
The proposed 24,515-square-foot facility, submitted by Thomas A. Lundberg on behalf of Burton Moore, will be constructed on approximately 2.599 acres and offer 100 parking spaces.
O’Reilly Auto Parts is also located at 877 North Parkway, which opened in May 2018.
Tri Star Storage expanding on North Star Drive
Tri Star Storage, 64 North Star Drive, is expanding.
Owned by Mark and Valerie Johnstone, Tri Star Storage is adding one new building that will offer 28 new units, increasing the company’s inventory to 350 units.
The new construction is the first phase for the 1.2-acre lot, where three additional pads will be in place for future expansion.
Michaels sets date for store opening on Vann Drive
Michaels Stores, Inc., North America’s largest provider of arts, crafts, framing, floral and wall décor, and merchandise, is scheduled to open in early- to mid-July in the Columns at 1081 Vann Drive.
The location is the former home of Bed Bath & Beyond.
Michaels was founded in 1973 in Irving, Texas.
As of January 2021, there were 1,252 Michaels stores in 49 out of 50 states in the U.S., and Canada, with approximately $5.362 billion in sales for fiscal 2020.

Paul Schulze, owner of Worthy Road Studios & BallGame Blitz Sports Network, who has been a partner with Grace Media Group – NEWS/TALK 101.5 FM for local sports broadcasting since 2010, has a new title with the organization.
Paul officially joined the Grace Media Group staff to promote 105.3 FM Fox Sports Jackson as Director of Sports Broadcasting.
With this change, a combined sales package has been developed joining the high school and college sports from the BallGame Blitz Sports Network – USJ, TCA, South Gibson, Peabody, Union University and Jackson Rockabillys Baseball – with Fox Sports Radio and NEWS/TALK 101.5 FM’s ‘Cheap Seats,’ ‘Red Zone,’ ‘Saturday Sports Round-Up’ with additional local radio shows.

New apartment complexes and homes are scheduled for the next phase of development of Jackson Walk. Question: Would you tell us about Phase III at Jackson Walk – the location, and the plans for the area?
Answer: Jackson Walk originally was built around the concept of creating a healthy, walkable community that connects Downtown and the historic Lambuth (LANA) neighborhood. The third phase of Jackson Walk will continue our Smart Growth plan to expand our revitalization efforts further into the Lambuth neighborhood.

Construction begins on Jonathan’s Grille in Park Place West
Construction begins this week on Jonathan’s Grille, a 7,666-square-foot sports bar, on Chloe Place in Park Place West.
The site consists of 2.61 acres and will offer 137 parking spaces.
Local real estate broker & contractor, Alex Hollman with Hickman Realty Group & Hollman Builders and Chris Carothers – Hickman Realty Group – recruited the upscale Nashville-based sports bar.
Jonathan’s Grille was established in 1999 and is a family-owned, upscale sports bar and restaurant based out of middle Tennessee.
Throughout its years of success, the restaurant chain has strategically adapted over the last two decades to appeal to a wide demographic. Its concept was to fill its restaurants with 50+ flat screen TV’s combined with delicious food and an upscale family-friendly atmosphere.
