The Madison County Sheriff’s Office has been made aware of a scam that involves a phone number that is associated with the MCSO.

Upon answering the phone, people are being told that they failed to show up for court and that they owe $3,600 for the violation.

The MSCO does NOT make such calls.

People are being told that a warrant was signed by Judge Blake Anderson and that they can go to the Courthouse or MCSO, 317 Denmark Jackson Road to pay their fine of $3,600 or they will be arrested.

They also provide a website for an easier payment, which is also something that the MCSO does not do.
