Four arrests were made and more than 50 pounds of high quality marijuana was confiscated by the Madison County Sheriff’s Department, during a traffic stop at the Mobil Mini Mart at Casey Jones Village, Thursday.
It is believed the street value of the marijuana exceeds $200,000.
According to a report, officers witnessed a truck run over a curb, and probable cause led to the Sheriff’s Department conducting a search in a parking lot at the Waffle House at Casey Jones Village.
“There was a small odor of marijuana, and a drug dog was called in, and a large amount of marijuana was discovered,” said John Mehr, Sheriff of Madison County. “It remains under investigation.”
