Leaders Credit Union breaks ground in Milan

With relationships established in Milan, Leaders Credit Union is placing its footprint in the community at 15427 South First Street.

Following a groundbreaking ceremony, Wednesday, construction begins on the new 3,000-square-foot branch is expected to be complete by late summer or early fall in 2018.

“Milan was a natural fit for Leaders,” noted Todd Swims, President and CEO of Leaders Credit Union. “We already serve the Gibson County community through our field of memberships and we want to serve this area with the best service and technology, now with local convenience.”

A partial listing of Leaders’ field of membership in the Gibson County community includes the Milan Special School district and various Select Employment Groups including CECO Door, NHC Milan, Area Wide Communications, and Alexander Thomson Arnold.

The state of the art branch will offer pod style banking with a digital engagement center to allow members access to demonstrations and digital banking channels.

There will be three drive-through lanes and an exterior ATM.

Leaders Credit Union will staff the branch with six to seven financial champions providing full service to Milan and the Gibson County community.

“Thank you to the Gibson county community for allowing us to be your financial champions, and we look forward to a long and bright future together,” Swims added. “We are really excited about being a part of this community.”

Leaders Credit Union was founded in 1957 and is a full service financial institution offering affordable banking solutions for its more than 40,000 members.

Founded in a spare room of a local school as the Jackson Madison County Teachers Credit Union, Leaders offers six full-service branch locations across West Tennessee – including Union City and Memphis – and a full-service E-branch and mortgage center location.
