JEA Celebrates Public Power Week
And Public Natural Gas Week

The Jackson Energy Authority this week joined with over 2,000 electric utilities and over 1,000 natural gas systems in celebrating Public Power Week and Public Natural Gas Week, noting the respective service provided by not-for-profit distributors of electricity and natural gas throughout the United States.
The companies represented this week are governed and operated by the customers they serve.
They reach millions of households in thousands of communities across America with competitive low-cost utility service.
David Middlebrooks, Sr. Vice-President of Electricity, and Randy Nipp, Sr. Vice-President of Natural Gas, at the Jackson Energy Authority both noted the continued efforts in their respective JEA divisions to providing top-quality utility service at the lowest possible rates.
Jim Ferrell, JEA President and CEO, noted the specific contributions of both the American Public Power Association and the American Public Gas Association in leadership and support of community economic growth, viability and customer service through community based not-for-profit utility service.
