(November 21, 2013) Jackson, Tenn.- The Jackson Energy Authority Board met Thursday morning for a short regular schedule meeting.
The board received an update regarding the River Interceptor Project. They have currently installed around 900 feet of pipe out of the total 12,000 feet.
The board was also told that there are no plans to shutdown Riverside Drive throughout the duration of the project.
The board had to vote on two measures of new business. The first was the approval of a bid for Northwest Annexation residential sewer station electrical work.
In order for the sewer process to work in that area, JEA must install a small box that connects to the users existing system.
To install the units, a licensed electrician must perform the installation.JEA anticipates needing 100 units at $940 per unit.
The other measure passed dealt with additional paid-on-capital to Tennergy Corporation in regards to the electric division. It amounts to a balance sheet clean-up.
