Jackson Police Officer Terry Dyer is retiring after 25 years of service with the Jackson Police Department
Dyer was assigned to the Patrol Division. Officer Dyer’s district partners say he is very dependable, knowledgeable and he displays a positive work ethic.
Officer Dyer worked four years as a Patrol Officer with the Lexington Police Department before coming to the Jackson Police Department. He also served as a Reserve Deputy for the Henderson County Sheriff’s Department.
Dyer said he will miss his law enforcement family. The law enforcement family will stand by you no matter what, said Dyer. Dyer said he thinks the department is headed in the right direction, “we have a young chief who isn’t afraid to make decisions”, “he has a knack for law enforcement” said Dyer
During his time at the Jackson Police Department, Officer Dyer has worked in the Gang Unit, Drug Task Force, and Street Crimes Unit.
