The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department along with the Tennessee Child Care Resource & Referral Network and Signal Centers will host a free parenting class Monday, Sept. 16 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., at the health department, 804 North Parkway in Jackson.
According to a press release from Mallory Cooke – Public Information Officer, Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department – the free class will cover a variety of topics including the effects of trauma on children and fun ways to help children build strong brains.
“The early years of a child’s life are critical for later health and development,” CHANT Program Manager Lindsey Nanney said, “We want to offer something to help build stronger families in Madison County.”
The class is free for participants. You do not have to RSVP to attend. Child care will not be
provided.
