Members of the Jackson Energy Authority board of directors passed six resolutions during Monday’s monthly meeting at the Tennergy Building.
The board approved the purchase of 30 pole-mount transformers from Stuart C. Irby, Inc., at a total cost of $22,440, 20 single phase pad-mount transformers from Border States of Jackson, at a total cost of $27,720, and eight three phase pad-mount transformers from Stuart C. Irby, Inc., at a total cost of $71,943.
Board members authorized a contract with Davis H. Elliot Company, from Lexington, Ky., for the installation of a 161kV Breaker at Oakfield Primary Subdivision at a total cost of $69,750.
The Board of Directors approved the execution and delivery of the Gas Supply Contract from the Public Energy Authority of Kentucky (PEAK), in substantially the form previously submitted to Jackson Energy Authority.
The gas discount will be a minimum of $0.20/MMBtu for the initial pricing period – currently estimated at six years.
Argo Construction Corporation, Cordova, was approved to install gravity wastewater main and services to serve the State of Tennessee TBI Crime Lab and THP Headquarters, located on Smith Lane, near the Airport Industrial Park.
The bid accepted was $106,174.50.
A resolution authorizing a professional services agreement with Black & Veatch for Phase IV rehabilitation work in accordance with Jackson Energy Authority’s Wastewater Rehabilitation Master Plan for a price not to exceed $2,203,700.
The board adopted a resolution a pretreatment program and JEA’s Wastewater System Use Regulations as required by State and Federal agencies.
