Jackson Energy Authority’s board of directors approved eight resolutions during their monthly meeting at the Tennergy Center, Thursday.
“Jackson Energy Authority’s board of directors approved eight resolutions in today’s meeting related to system improvements and a wholesale water agreement with Gibson County Municipal Water District,” said Monte Jones, JEA’s chairman of the board, “The board also spent time in a work session prior to the board meeting to discuss budgetary items for the 2023 fiscal year.
“Senior management presented budget plans that will be reviewed and considered at the June meeting.”
The resolutions –
Ratified the purchase of distribution transformers – Border States Electric, $124,755.40
Authorized a contract for the construction of Jones Creek Substation – Davis H. Elliott, $1,786,353.12
Approved the purchase of 1,355 residential & commercial gas meters – Elster American Meter Co., $346,809.65
Authorized the purchase of two 100 kW generators for standby power for the Water and Wastewater Systems during emergencies – $109,562.62
Approved an agreement with the Gibson County Municipal Water District – no finances involved
Authorized the replacement of the fire suppression system in the Control Center computer rooms – Kizer Fire Protection, $74,455.00
Authorized a contract with Spatco Energy Solutions for a fuel underground storage tank – $466,078.95
Authorized a contract with Delta Electrical Incorporated for construction of the Mt. Pinson Road Fiber Optic Re-Generation Site – $87,584.00
