The Jackson Beer Board has suspended a beer license at Indigo’s, a convenience store at 1625 East Chester Street, for 30 days, after the Metro Narcotics conducted an underage alcohol operation, March 27.
The Show Cause hearing was held at the City Council Chambers, Wednesday.
The infraction is the second for the store, which is owned by Bobbye Michaela Singh.
The first infraction was May 22, 2017.
Indigo’s was granted a beer license November 1, 2016.
“Metro Narcotics is doing a great job,” said Charles Rahm, chairman of the Jackson Beer Board, “They are a key to us curbing under age beer sales, and without them we would have no way validating if the stores are selling to minors.”
