JACKSON, Tennessee – The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department confirms a 79-year-old female died Dec. 31, 2021 due to complications from COVID-19.
This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 318 in Madison County.
The health department has received positive test results for 924 more cases of COVID-19 since Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2021.
We now have 20,378 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County – 18,408 have recovered.
Our Epidemiology staff is reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact with these cases.
