From the Crockett County Sheriff’s Office
ALAMO, Tennessee – The Crockett County Sheriff’s Office has arrested Austin Taylor, age 31 and a former Crockett County High School coach, on eight counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and eight counts of simple possession/casual exchange of a Schedule II controlled substance.
An investigation led by the Crockett County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division revealed that Taylor illegally obtained a Schedule II medication prescribed to a student multiple times. He was taken into custody on April 28, 2025, and will appear before General Sessions Judge Paul Conley for a bond to be set.
This remains an active and ongoing investigation. The identities of juveniles involved are confidential and protected by law.

To preserve the integrity of the case, no further information will be released at this time.
The charges and allegations referenced in this release are merely accusations of criminal conduct and not evidence. The defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt and convicted through due process of law.
The defendant has the right to be arraigned on these charges and a bond will be set by General Sessions Judge Paul Conley – not the arresting agency. The 28th Judicial District Attorney General Frederick Agee will be prosecuting this case where facts and evidence against the defendant will be presented in the court of law.
