If you are caught dumping illegally in Madison County, it is going to cost you some major dollars.
Metal signs have been posted that warn of a $3,000 fine for any person found guilty of dumping waste on the roadside.
There are over one dozen sites in Madison County that are frequently used to desecrate the landscape.

*Isaac Williamson Ext. (near Neely Station Road)

*Reeves Road (near Collins Road)

*Sand Hill Road (near Love Road)
* Hardee Road
Individuals caught will be prosecuted and Lt. Mike Johnson has offered a Crime Stoppers cash reward to further help find these violators.
Anti-littering is a law, but one that has not been seriously enforced – until now.
Madison County Sheriff John Mehr expects other locations will be added to the list, and if anyone has a
request for a sign to be posted, you are asked to call the Madison County Code Enforcement
Office (731) 423-2041.
