Elks No. 192 Jackson welcomes you to Honor the Star Spangled Banner when Flag Day is celebrated at 28 Executive Drive in Madison Square Office Park, at 6:30 p.m., Friday, June 13.
This meaningful tradition honors the history, meaning, and symbolism of the American flag.
The ceremony is open to the public, and we encourage our community to join us as we show our respect and pride for the Stars and Stripes.
Elks Lodges across the United States, Puerto Rico, and the Panama Canal Zone will proudly  observe FLAG DAY, continuing a deeply rooted tradition that began in 1908 with the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks.
The Elks remain the only fraternal organization in the country that mandates an annual formal observance of FLAG DAY.
The tradition gained national recognition in 1916 when President Woodrow Wilson proclaimed it a day of celebration.
