Early Voting – record turnout for Day 1

The Madison County Election Commission saw a record first day of early voting for a City of Jackson election as 554 voters cast ballots.

In the 2015 election, 435 ballots were cast on the first day.

Voters registered in the City of Jackson can cast early ballots today through May 2, in the auditorium of the Madison County Agricultural Complex at 311 North Parkway.

Candidates running for the office of Mayor of the City of Jackson and City Council are on the ballot.

Voting hours are 9 a.m. until 4 p.m., weekdays, and 9 a.m. until noon, Saturday.

Early voting will not be held on Good Friday, April 19.

Election Day is May 7.

In order to vote, a photo ID issued by the State of Tennessee or the U.S. Government must be presented.
