Dr. George J. Pimentel, who became the sixth president of Jackson State Community College, July 1, 2020, has announced he is resigning June 30, 2023.

He announced his resignation by email, Monday.

Dear Colleagues,

I will resign as President of Jackson State on June 30, 2023. It has been an honor to represent you, and I know great things are on the horizon. Keep being Dynamic, Dependable, and Different, and Jackson State will be Tennessee’s number one community college.
