Demolition of a building that housed Sidney David Florist, 1362 South Highland Avenue, is scheduled to begin at 7:30 a.m., Thursday, according to Lou Bosco of Lou Bosco Contractor Services.
The building was originally a house that was constructed in 1920.
Sidney David, who went into the floral business January 5, 1950, opened the South Highland location December 13, 1964.
Sidney David Florist closed in 2013.
Lou Bosco said the demolition will make the property more marketable, but added the property has not been sold.
