(November 6, 2013) Jackson, Tenn.- The Jackson Municipal Regional Commission met Wednesday afternoon to discuss rezoning appeals. 

The first rezoning request dealt with a section New Deal Road located in the county. 

Brandon Hill requested his property be rezoned from a general industrial district to a Forestry-Agriculture-Recreation, or FAR, district. 

In addition to his property being zoned FAR, there was an amendment that changed a swarth of land from industrial to FAR. 

The second rezoning request is for land located within the city, specifically on Christmasville Cove. 

The area that was to be rezoned went from an RS-1 zone (Residential Single Family) to an SC-1 zone (Planned Unit Commercial Development).

This portion of land also reflected a change in the land use plan for that area. 

Both of the rezoning requests were approved.
