MADISON CO. (July 13, 2015) – Madison County Sheriff’s investigators say they have the suspects they believe are responsible for vandalizing several local churches in custody.
At a press conference on Monday Madison County Sheriff John Mehr announced arrest have been made in connection with 3 church vandalism cases.
19-year-old Zackary Jackson, 18-year-old D’Angelo Miller, and 25-year-old Jimmy Benthal, all of Madison County have all been arrested and face multiple charges in connection with church vandalism.
The churches involved include two in Madison County and one in Henderson County. Â Sheriff John Mehr said this was a joint investigation with his department and the Henderson County Sheriff’s Department.
The three churches involved include:
- Maple Springs Cumberland Presbyterian Church (Henderson County)
- Beech Bluff Pentecostal
- Browns Church United Methodist
Jackson, Miller, and Benthal face multiple charges of Vandalism and Desecration of a Place of Worship.
The three are scheduled to make their first court appearance on Tuesday.
