With a 1,000-square-foot facility in place, Checkers Drive-Thru Restaurant remains on target to open at 620 Carriage House Drive in late May.

Menu items will include hamburgers, fries, hot dogs, chicken, fish, wings, ice cream and soft drinks for the restaurant, which is one of the largest chains of double drive-thru restaurants in the United States.

The restaurant is co-owned by Jackson businessmen Riad Razeq and Ziyad Qaadan.

Hoyt Hayes Construction is building the restaurant, which is located between Logan’s Roadhouse and O’Charley’s Restaurant & Bar.
