JACKSON, Tenn. – The Greater Jackson Chamber is pleased to announce that Governor Bill Lee has reappointed President and CEO Kyle Spurgeon to a second term on the Tennessee Board of Regents, where he will continue serving as the representative for Tennessee’s 8th Congressional District.
The Tennessee Board of Regents is the governing body for the state’s public community colleges and colleges of applied technology (TCATs), providing oversight for Tennessee’s system of workforce-focused higher education. Spurgeon’s reappointment reflects his continued commitment to advancing educational opportunities and workforce development across West Tennessee and the state.

Spurgeon has served as President and CEO of the Greater Jackson Chamber since 2009, leading economic development efforts that have resulted in billions of dollars in capital investment and thousands of new jobs for the region. Throughout his career, he has championed partnerships between education and industry to ensure Tennessee’s workforce is prepared to meet the needs of existing employers and future economic growth.
