MADISON Co. Tenn. (March 25, 2017) – Alabama authorities confirm 4 people were killed Saturday in a single plane crash.

45-year-old Joseph Crenshaw, 43-year-old Jennifer Crenshaw, and their two teenage children, ages 16 and 14, were killed in the accident happened in Blount County, Alabama.
AL.com reports, according to Blount County Operations Commander Tim Kent, “the fuselage of the small aircraft was found at around 3:45 p.m. The four passengers were found dead inside. Blount County 911 received the report of a plane crash at 2:33 p.m. The plane was believed to have gone down off Alabama 160 and Cox Cove Road.”
Kyle Ellison, Assistant Fire Chief at the West Blount Fire Department, said the flight plan indicates the plane left Kissimmee, Florida at 12:52 p.m. with a destination flight plan of Jackson, Tennessee.
The FAA identified the plane as a Cessna C210.
The Blount County EMA found the fuselage and debris. Ellison told AL.com “There have been several reports that at some point in the air, the fuselage came apart. The wings left the fuselage and from there, the fuselage went down into a separate location.”.
Kent tells local media “the wings of the Cessna T210L aircraft came off in-flight.”
Joseph Crenshaw and his family are residents of Jackson Tennessee. Joseph is the youngest son of Dr Tom Crenshaw, Gibson County, Jennifer Crenshaw is the daughter of David Nance, Madison County.
Joseph Crenshaw was Regional Director, Vice President, First Tennessee Bank, Jackson, TN.
Federal Aviation Authorities and National Transportation Safety Board will begin their investigation of the crash Sunday morning, according to Blount County 911.
The cause of the crash is unknown.
