HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL – New No. 1 in ‘Baker’s Dozen’ Coaches Poll

There was very little movement in this week’s Baker’s Dozen High School Football Coaches Poll, but the most noticeable change is at the top.

Crockett County moves to No. 1, and the Cavaliers are one of only four remaining undefeated teams in the West Tennessee area.

1) Crockett County (4-0) – defeated South Gibson County, 28-14. Next game: The Cavaliers host Center Hill High School, Olive Branch, Mississippi, Friday
2) Huntingdon (4-0) – beat Camden, 34-0. Next game: The Mustangs travel to McEwen, Friday.
3) Haywood (3-1) – lost 43-42 to Briarcrest. Next game: The Tomcats play Dyersburg in Brownsville, Friday.
4) Munford (4-0) – beat FACS, 70-43. Next game: Munford entertains Bolton.
5) Dresden (4-0) – beat West Carroll, 41-6. Next game: Greenfield visits Dresden, Friday.
6) South Gibson County (3-1) – lost at Crockett County, 28-14. Next game: The Hornets host Westview, Friday.
7) Peabody (3-1) – beat Humboldt, 56-0. Next game: Peabody travels to Halls, Friday.
8) Milan (3-1)- beat North Side, 41-13. Next game: The Bulldogs host No. 10 Covington, Friday.
9) Bolivar (3-1) – beat Harding Academy, 60-33. Next game: The Tigers visit McNairy Central, Friday.
10) Covington (3-1) – beat Brighton, 26-0. Next game: The Chargers visit No. 8 Milan, Friday.
11) Union City (3-1) – beat Oakhaven, 48-20. Next game. At Poth, Texas, September 22.
12) TCA (3-1) – lost at USJ, 35-30. Next game: At McKenzie, Friday.
13) Hardin County (3-1) – beat Adamsville, 15-13. Next game: The Tigers host South Side, Friday.
